Meeting Notes: September 11, 2017

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Club President John Farmer
There were 19 members and 4 visitors in attendance.

Secretary’s Report :Ron Burke
• Minutes from August were read.

Treasurer’s Report :Wayne Fox
• Expenses for this period was buying a spare projector bulb, ARRL insurance renewal, and to Erik Cohee for weed cleanup at the club’s repeater site.

Trustee Tech. Committee Report :
• Tom Hansen to observe the repeater site for weeds then report to the club.
• Paul Cowger to give the club a quote from a contractor for weed control at the repeater site.

ARES Report : Ron Burke
• Monthly hospital net on Sept. 16, 10:30am on 147.570 MHz.
• Membership meeting on Sept. 20 at 7 pm at the HCSSC.
• Indiana Section SET exercise Sept.30, 8-11 am.

Old Business :
• 2017 Hilltop date is September 16th. Time will be 9 am to 1 pm.
• Wayne Michael will report when ready, to the club about a special display of Club members who have passed on.
• September 13 at 6:30 pm the Brownsburg Lions Club will have a dinner whereas those hams who helped them in the parade are invited.

New Business :
• Bob Burns made a motion to lower regular club dues to $10 per year per person, starting with the beginning with the year of 2018. Adding the stipulation that should the club’s treasury total balance drops below $4,000, the regular membership dues per person would revert back to $20 per year. Likewise family membership dues would drop to $15 per year, but would be raised back up to $25 per year if the total club’s treasury balance would drop below $4,000. Tom Hansen seconded this motion. Motion passed.

• President John Farmer will appoint a special committee to oversee and do grounds maintenance at the club’s repeater site.

Other Announcements :
• No regular club meeting will be held on the second week of December, the club meeting will be held at the Club’s Christmas Dinner on December 9th. Time will be 6-9 pm at the Hendricks County senior Service Center in Danville.

Special Program :
• Bill McCleary built a talking SWR meter.

Meeting closed : At 8:50 pm Bob Thompson made a motion to close the meeting, which was seconded by Mike Rollins.
